Step 1: The design brief
We strongly believe that every design process should begin with an in-depth conversation about the client’s needs. In order to create a sucessful logo for your company or brand, we usually ask a series of questions to help us better understand your business, your audience, and what your logo is expected to reflect and represent. Based on these answers, we put together a proposal and a quote.
Step 2: Research
We take the time to study not just your business, but also your competition and other brands from your industry or related domains. We study their logos and analyze what symbols and design styles have proved sucessful for certain brands, and then we put together a relevant research presentation to discuss with you. Based on this, we can better refine the design direction established in the preliminary talk.
Step 3: Drafting and concepts presentation
We then get to the drawing board and sketch, brainstorm, sketch some more, revise, find the best designs and draft them in vector format, and in the end we prepare the strongest concepts and most polished designs to be presented to you. Usually, we present between 2 and 4 concepts.
Step 4: Revisions and refinement
During concept presentation we will make note of your suggestions and improve the chosen concept. Usually, two revisions is all it takes to bring a logo to its final formula, but we are adaptable to different circumstances as our main goal is to create a logo that is perfect for our client’s needs and for their audience as well.
Step 5: Logo package and brand identity guideliness
Once the logo is finalized, we prepare a full package with all the necessary formats of the logo (including black and white, grayscale, monocolor, negative, and the usual file formats: PDF, EPS, PNG and Jpeg). We also put together a guidebook outlining the rules that need to be respected by all different people who will be using the logo (employees, other designers, etc.) - color codes, fonts, preferred formats, minimum size, placement, etc.
Step 6: Business cards, letterheads and other printed materials
Once the logo is designed, we can also develop for you a complete stationary package tailored to your needs. From business cards to letterhead, envelope, presentation folders, labels, notepads, brochures, catalogs, and any other barding materials, we will ensure that your brand’s image is consistent across all media and your corporate identity looks professional.
Step 7: Printing
As a design agency, we are in partenrship with several printing companies both locally and nationwide, and we are able to provide you with unbeatable quotes for all print materials we design. Large printing companies deal exclusively with design companies like ours and offer discounted prices that retail printers cannot beat. We will be happy to supervise all steps of the printing process and ensure an outstanding end result.
If you should chose to have your work printed by a local retail printer and deal with them directly, we will be happy to provide you with print-ready files by their specifications, which should lower setup and troubleshooting fees.
