Step 1: The design & development brief
We talk to every client about their new website to find out what the needs and expectations are, and how we can accomplish them. We outline a preliminary sitemap and list of functionalities the website should have, and at the same time we take notes on any design or styling directions that you suggest. A rough estimate is provided.
Step 2: Proposal and Contract
Based on the design & development brief, we design a thorough site map of the website and write a detailed proposal describing each page, their functionalities and user experience. We also make recommendations regarding the structure, functionality and design at this stage. A detailed broken-down quote is also provided.
Step 3: Research and homepage design
In the research stage we study your industry, your domain, your competition and other related websites so we can better understand your product/service/industry and also your target visitors/clients. We brainstorm, sketch and draft and then present you with a polished design version for your homepage.
Step 4: Revisions and complete design
We discuss the homepage layout and design with you and we revise it to reach a final version. Based on the style of the homepage and on the proposal and site map, we design every content page of the website. It is very helpful at this point if you provide all necessary content (text and images). We can also provide the content for you. The designed content pages are discussed with the client just like the homepage and adjusted accordingly.
Step 5: Development
Once the design is approved by client, we start coding the website and develop all the functionalities as outlined in the proposal. We implement the latest technologies and adhere to industry standards to ensure maximum efficiency. We also apply basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Step 6: Testing and release
When development stage is over, we release the beta version of your website on a testing server, where you can review it. We iron out the kinks, show you how to use your Content Management System (if applicable), and then we launch your website live on the web.
